Starting this evening, November 16th, shops in downtown Courtenay are open until well after the stars start to twinkle, offering some of Vancouver Island’s best local shopping. The Christmas Tree will be lit at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Sid Williams Theatre and the Salvation Army will be kicking off their kettle campaign with free hot chocolate. Blaine Dunaway, Annie Becker, Hula Hoopla, Lots of Laughs and Magical Faces will be on hand to provide entertainment.
The festive fun continues on Saturday the 17th with street magician Greg Ladret and eco-craft activities for kids from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the WinterFest Hub. Dinosaur buffs won’t want to miss the Elasmosaur Anniversary Party at the Courtenay Museum!
