Photos, Fur & Fun: 2012 BC SPCA Paws For A Cause Comox Valley Walk

After months of e-mails, blog posts, Facebook statuses and general pestering, September 9th came and went. I am equal parts ecstatic, grateful and humbled to say that I was able to exceed my goal of $1,000 with the support and generosity of my blog readers, family and dear friends.

Earlier in my campaign, I offered a number of fantastic prizes to my donors that were donated by Vancouver Island retailers. I definitely wouldn’t have been as successful without their support! I’m happy to announce the following winners:

  • $25 Modern Café gift certificate – Sarah Simmer
  • $25 Modern Café gift certificate – Dominic Richards
  • Shamrock Farm gift basket – Barktholomews Pet Edibles + Supplies
  • Saltspring Island Soapworks gift basket – Marlee McConnell

Here’s a look at some of the fun that me and my entire family had at the Comox Valley Paws For A Cause walk this past Sunday…

In total, I was able to raise $1,027.75 to contribute to the Comox Valley shelter’s goal of $18,000. Rest assured that all of that money goes a long way in helping countless animals.

Four communities within the Province have yet to complete their walk – namely Trail, Squamish, 100 Mile House and Port Alberni – but already the BC SPCA is thisclose to meeting their $1,000,000 Province-wide goal. There’s still time to donate online, so visit Paws For A Cause online to make your contribution.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Much Love xo
