Cowichan Region Edible Garden Tour

It seems the “locavore” movement is picking up traction much faster than simply eating organic. Our Island abundance is the perfect place to explore eating local and growing your own greens. In fact, your neighbour probably already is!

With its sun-splashed hills, the Cowichan region offers up some of Vancouver Island’s most stunning food gardens around. To celebrate the local harvest, the Cowichan Green Community (CGC) is hosting its third annual Edible Garden Tour this August.

This inspiring event allows Islanders the perfect opportunity to explore some of the most delicious gardens in the region.

  • When: Saturday, August 18th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Where: Self-guided throughout the Cowichan Valley
  • Price: $10 for CGC members, $15 for non-members, $20 for couples or families, children 13 and under are free. Proceeds to benefit CGC programs such as FruitSave, Grow-A-Row, and regional community gardens.
