We’re Going On An Egg Hunt

Between its towns and cities, Vancouver Island is an abundance of farmland, forest and lush landscapes. My family is fortunate enough to live within the forest and there’s really no better place the Easter Bunny likes to visit than the forest. But why take it from me? I’ll leave this story to my niece…

“Hi! I’m Sienna!”

“This is my pretty pink Easter basket.”

“My Auntie Keira said we’d go on a hunt for Easter eggs. I’m not quite sure what that means, but I bet it’s going to be fun!”

Untitled

“Auntie Keira – stop taking so many pictures of me! I want to go nowwwww…”

[Hmmm… maybe if I just look like I’m going to have a tantrum, we’ll get to go.]

“Hooray! It worked”!

Untitled

“Now… where to begin?”

Untitled

“I’m not so sure about this Easter egg hunt thing, but I think I kinda like it. Hey! I found something!”

Untitled Untitled

“Ohhh! Something’s hiding in the grape vines!”

Untitled

“I also found daffodils in our yard. I think they’re pretty but Auntie Keira likes tulips better.”

Untitled

“The important thing to Easter egg hunting is being really, really fast! No Easter eggs for you, Jordy!”

Untitled

“See? This is what I found already!”

Untitled

“Hmmm… something’s hiding in the ferns. Daddy, help me get it!”

Untitled

“A stuffy? In the woods? This requires further investigation.”

Untitled

“It’s Minnie Mouse! I think I’ll keep her.”

Untitled

“I didn’t know what to expect, but Easter eggs hunts are fun! I can’t wait until next year. Thanks for tagging along with me!”
