Taking A Time Out

After a little bit of thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to take a hiatus from this blog. Blogging has been a part of my life for more than half a decade and maintaining the Vancouver Island Blog has brought a lot of wonderful people and memorable experiences into my life.

I’m at a point where the creativity, energy and – in particular – time necessary to maintain this blog has exhausted me. That said, I’m stepping back to re-evaluate where and how blogging will fit into my life.

I’m grateful for the support of friends, family and readers and I do believe that I’ll be writing again in some capacity at some point. For now, this hiatus fits me and fits what I need and I feel absolutely fantastic about the decision.

  1. Balance is important in everything and so, for what its worth, I think you are right to take break. Quality, not quantity and all that!

  2. P.S. Your writing is always quality. I am referring to needing time for yourself. As my boyfriend always says to me, “Pace yourself”!

  3. Whenever I got bored/tired/exhausted from one of my favourite hobbies, a break usually does the trick :).

I just wanted to let you know though that I came across your blog looking for bumble and bumble reviews, and just booked a hair appointment at Hair Studio Lounge. I have super curly hair that I just can’t get right, and after my last 2 stylists leaving me to go on mat leave, downtown I go! Thanks for the tip!
