ACID TONGUE
I kinda hate blogging right now, so I am putting little-to-no effort into it. Okay, maybe I don’t hate blogging, but I certainly have no drive to do so.
I do love Jenny Lewis and I’ve loved Jenny Lewis since we both wore acid wash jeans, neon hair scrunchies and LA Gear sneakers (Beverly Hills, what a thrill). Except now we’ve both grown up, grabbed some style and gotten hot. Jenny’s smokin’ and to say that I have a girl crush is a gross understatement. Just the kind of crush where I want to have an awkward, panty-clad pillow fight with her.
She’s a bonafide babe. Know what I’m saying?
I am excited.
September 23 will be an expensive day at HMV for me. Not only are Sex and the City: The Movie and the second volume of the SATC soundtrack (which is good for Ciara’s “Click Flash” if nothing else) being released, but so is Jenny’s sophomore solo effort “Acid Tongue.”

ooh, thanks for the notice. i didn’t even know jenny lewis was putting out a second album this month. and i agree, she’s not ugly. had to go down to seattle last year to catch rilo kiley in concert but it was well worth it. jenny even did some tracks from rabbit fur coat. here’s hoping she does the commodore soon.
If you liked Rilo Kiley, you should check out ‘The Elected’. The other lead, Blake, formed this band on his own. No J.L. in the band but still, tres listen-worthy.

Nice! I’ve read your mentions of Rilo Kiley before but never realized that I already like this band. (CBC Radio 3 ftw) Ms. Lewis has a yet another fan in me.

I had no idea her new solo album was coming out, thanks! She’s great.
her voice is beautiful- the sound when she says both “liar” & Fire” are goosebumpy moments. I’ll be checking her out when it hits the shelves (I’m not in van- is it local/ web release only?) Love finding new voices to add to the collection and when they’re Canadian- it makes it even that much better!

Rilo Kiley is utterly DELIGHTFUL in concert. When she opened her mouth live, I was amazed at the clear, pure sound that emanated from it. I’m a huge Jenny Lewis fan, I’m excited to learn there are others as well. Great post, even with little to no effort.
