Revolutionary in what sense though? I agree that she did offer a lot of changes and direction to pop music, but to music as a whole? Whoever invented the Power Ballad is jealous now.

Great singer? Not a chance.
Great entertainer, daredevil, icon? Without question, hands down.

I remember spending 250 bucks on a black-double breasted suit just like the one she wore in “Express Yourself” video, bustier underneath, hair in a high slicked ponytail and shakin my booty with my gay-boys on the podium every time that song came on at Celebrities (yes, I tried to Vogue to no avail…).

And if I could have a body like that at 50 I’d fluant the shit out of it too!

I love the video for What It Feels Like For a Girl. I was so annoyed that they would only play it late at night on music video channels because of it’s content when rap video are played all day long and are far more offensive in my opinion.
