Even though I'm a few thousand miles away from Vancouver Island right now (I live in England!) I look at this pic and can totally feel the stillness and the silence. I stumbled upon your blog last week, because I'm coming to the Island for a year in October (Starting off at Mt Washington for the snow season!! whoooo yeah!) and I've been doing a tonne of research to know what to expect to actually live there for a while. Anyway, I'm enjoying reading your posts and I get a little burst of excitement every now and then to think that I'll be able to go sit on a beach like the one in the pic everyday if i want to!

Happy Friday, have a fab weekend :-)

Reminds me of a huge driftwood teepee that I built with my kids on the beach by Roberts Creek one summer.

...gotta love the mist

This post brings back all the memories of running around on the beach, in the grey mist, with my family as a kid. Although the mainland is my home, I always have a special place in my heart for the Island and all of the good times and beauty that I have had the opportunity to enjoy there.
A sensory experience, without a doubt.
