Vancouver’s “premier consumer show dedicated to all things green” sweeps into BC Place Stadium this weekend, February 29 – March 2. With over 200 exhibitors, tons of new products, food samples and more ideas and advice than you can shake an earth-friendly bamboo stick at, there’s no reason not to check out the Green Living Show. Adult tickets are $10.50 online and $12 at the door. I plan on checking out the show and blogging what I see and learn, so say hi if you spot me!
Despise junk mail as much as you despise wasted paper? Click over to the Red Dot Campaign. Targeted at reducing paper waste and clutter, the campaign encourages advertisers to re-evaluate their current marketing strategies. There are a number of very simple ways in which you can get involved to spread the word while reducing the number of unnecessary fliers in your mailbox, so take a few moments to check this out. (I’ve always wondered why, living in a West End highrise where the rent is still marginally under $1,000, my mailbox is constantly stuffed with glossy prints advertising $500,000 studio apartments I could never afford. It’s such a waste.)
My friend Angela recently mentioned a new website that tests your brain while providing grains of rice through the UN World Food Program to help end hunger. So my only question to you is: Got Rice?
Hey Keira,
Great post and good for you for linking to Green Living Show ( I was going to link to it but instead, I’ll just link to your post in one of mine
) — I’m probably going to check it out on Saturday morning/afternoon, as this weekend is unbelievably packed with social activities. So maybe we will bump into each other (or we simply could meet there if you wanted to and have a coffee).
Thanks for the ticket link for the Green Show…might be going this weekend.
I’d go with you if I was closer.
Yes! The Green Living Show…I was thinking about popping by to check it out too!
Becky and I are hitting it up Friday after work to check it all out and take tons of photos! I’m totally looking forward to this…
