I'm not big on shoes. I'm really picky and have a hard time finding something that I actually like.

I hate when women can't walk in their heels too. In high school, one of my biggest pet peeves were all the girls who wore platform shoes. They would shuffle everywhere. All you would hear was their shuffling because they never picked up their feet. It drove me crazy.

Everyone should just find their own mix of comfort and fashion. I agree that women who insist on wearing heels but hobble around like a child look ridiculous, and all you see is that hobbling. They could be wearing a sharp pair of trainers and look amazing.

I was never much of a shoe girl either, but I've discovered it's because I choose quality over quanity. I can easily pass up on shoes I know I'll rarely wear, even if they are fucking adorable. I like having a few pairs of great shoes that can be easily mix and matched and go with all of my outfits.

I can't walk around Stanley Park in heels, I have runners and flats to chose from, I'm not going to torture myself for the sake of fashion. I was simply asking why others do that. It applies to many things, really, not just shoes.

Don't even get me started on this. If you can't walk in heels, then don't wear them. They're a privilege, not a right (much like Lululemon, for that matter).

Me? I've learned not only how to walk in stilettos, but also run. Watch the Charlie's Angels movies and study, study, study!

I have a question... why can't some women who INSIST on walking in high heels, actually WALK in high heels?

Scenario 1) Woman wearing a fab pair of heels looks like a kid in her mom's shoes, tripping, clomping and not being very dainty but insisting on wearing them because they're fashionable

Scenario 2) "We have to take a cab, I'm in heels". Honestly, I think I'm really hard on my shoes. I power walk to work in heels and can go 12+ hours wearing a great pair, working, walking, shopping etc in my stilettos. I'm not saying everyone should run a marathon in their shoes but it shouldn't be an impairment. Someone told me the other day they couldn't walk 4 blocks across downtown Vancouver because they were "in heels" so they needed to take a cab. What gives?

I love shoes! There is just something about wearing a pair of pretty shoes that puts me in a good mood. It's the same feeling as wearing a pretty matching bra and panty set. When I have on a pair of kick-ass heels, for some reason, I feel empowered, I carry myself better, and I walk taller.
