Newport Babes

Okay, so tonight, I was very sneaky. I plotted with my lover Brock to surprise my Em-Kitty by showing up at a birthday party for Shaun Ross. And let me tell you…she was surprised! So naturally we had silly fun with the camera. Trust me - there are certainly pictures we took that won’t be blogged! But here are some of the sexy shenanigans we got up to… (and oh yeah - apparantly we went to Barbados for a little while too)

“Peace in the Mid East, yo”

“It ain’t easy being hot…”

“Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s L…”

I love what tank tops do for my sweater kittens.

Keira: “Hey Em, is that Todd over there?”
Em: “Yeah.”
Keira: “Wanna go tempt him?”
Em: “Heck yeah!”

DJ Em-Kitty, spinning beats for the crowd.

“Obviously…”

“My name? What do you want it to be?”

More than Todd can handle…

“I miss you.”

Mating Season

Maybe it’s just me or maybe it’s an epidemic, but it seems that every woman and their dog is pregnant lately. It must’ve been a long, boring winter. Or a really cold winter. Or who really knows. I hope it isn’t contagious. As I walked to work, to the court, back home and to the gym today, I saw pregnant women everywhere I went! Most of them were pretty young but they were all around the same stage in their pregnancy. I guess somethin’ was going around this winter…some sort of weird unprotected sex bug.

I must stress that I am nowhere near being settled down, let alone knocked up. However, I’ve gotta say, I think I’ll be pretty stoked when that happens. I can’t imagine what it would feel like and what I would be thinking. Just to know that something is actually growing inside of you - something you’re so connected to and something that’s so real. I think it’s gonna be pretty cool.

P.S. Me and Brock are gonna have the cutest babies.

A Three-Fold Utopian Dream

Here it is, kids. My first post on my “new” blog. I tried to keep it pretty much the same to keep with the same feel. I can’t help it if I’m a picture whore and too cheap to purchase more space to boot. Anyways, in honour of my first blog, I’m posting a couple pics from me and Dylan’s amazing trip to Tofino on Friday. Unfortunately we got there too late for me to surf (because of this “shortcut” that ended us up in Beaver Creek), but it was still a blast. I don’t know what to say about Tofino…it feels unlike any other place on earth, and when we were there, nothing else mattered at all except that place and that time.

A would-be secluded spot on Chesterman Beach

Looking north on Chesterman, with the Wick Inn on the point.

I was totally jealous: so many people on the beach had such wicked dogs.

What I wouldn’t give to feel that sand and water running between my toes again.

When we got there, we hit up Breakers Deli for these totally delish veggie burritoes. They’re highly recommended. “I love all this corn and these black beans!” “I love that awesome salsa.”

I’m sorry I didn’t take more pictures of the adventure - maybe next time. The whole day was a blur of rainy highways, Rock 101, chugging water by the gallon, candy, so many chips, Westside!, indecent crows, tourists and, ahem, enjoying some of the finest that B.C. has to offer. And oh yeah…I totally almost got hit by a truck when we were walking from Breakers to the coffee shop…I smacked my arm on the back of an SUV and thought it was pretty odd that I didn’t judge the distance right. Then I realized the guy had his reverse lights on coming out of Storm and neither of us saw him until he was on the freakin’ sidewalk! But it’s okay…it’s only a lil bruise.

P.S. Did I mention that I am in love with my aunt’s little Ford Ranger? No more automatics for me - I swear!
